52 Weeks

What a shock to be back at work this week. I don't think I was much use until Wednesday and had remembered why I was supposed to be there. I had such a nice Christmas & New Year holiday this year which consisted of staying in the house completely for 3 days whilst sewing and knitting. It was so nice to get away from my stressful job for a short while.

Now I'm trying to work through my unfinished projects & I'm finally I'm doing some work on my Apres Surf. I've decided to knit on the sleeves from the top with a short row sleeve cap because if I follow the pattern they will end up going way past my finger tips. I'm going to try and knock together a tutorial on that technique at some point.

This week I went to see The Clientele play. They were fabulous & I was lucky enough to be at the front. Here is James from the Clientele on Thursday night with an enormous glitterball:

They were playing in The Luminaire in Kilburn which coincidentally is the same place as I took one of my first Proj 365 photos last year:

Project 365 is a project to take one photo a day for a year & I kept it up for about a month before I absolutely ran out of ideas. It got a bit depressing to realise that just about most days all I had to photograph was the London Underground! Here is an example of one of the photos from last year. I called it 'Move towards the light' (don't look if you've got any depressive tendencies!):

Anyhow this year I'm going to do project 52 (a photo a week) which is much more manageable and even I must do one interesting thing a week! I've set up a flickr group with a couple of friends & if anyone else would like to join then please let me know & I'll invite you in.

Also you can now download my excel macro for producing knitters graph paper.

And one more thing: Justine has a fantastic competition on her blog Elevenses at the moment. You might win some (suspenseful silence) wollmeister!!!
