Hike

We went on a hike yesterday - the countryside was full of lambs jumping up and down and cowslips. We were up on the SouthDowns (Ditchling Beacon) and we walked to the Jack & Jill windmills and beyond - a very nice 9 miles in beautiful weather.

Maybe I'll find some sweet sweater inspiration from all the sping colours!

Today I checked the GhostClub website and found they are playing again - I'm so excited that it's pathetic but I'm sure David Mitchell is a genius!

I went to the cinema and did a bit of sock knitting waiting for the film to come on. One it started I stopped because there is nothing more annoying than hearing people eating in the pictures and I expect the clicking of knitting needles would be as bad... The film was a documentory 'Scott Walker - 30th Century Man'. I havn't heard a great deal of his music but I'm going to rip it all from X's vinyl after this film. I like to see artists evolve - I never understand how people can make the same sound for years and years, so Scott Walker is my kind of musician (even if I don't quite get his later stuff). There was a bit were he was making a noise by punching a pig carcass and it certainly added something sinister to the sound, even if you were unawear of what 'made' the noise. OK - maybe a lot of people would disagree with using a dead pig to make music but... in fact I can't think of an argument for it... but it did sound interesting.
