40!

Oh no! I never thought it would happen to me but I'm now 40 years old. I had a lovely trip away with my friends to celebrate and I managed not to spend the whole time hiding under the bed.

We went to Keswick in the Lake District:

Well Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful time - you certainly seem to have done so.

Of all the "milsetone" birthdays I hated being 30. 40 was fine. And now that I'm *ahem* 50-something I've come to understand that age is just a number!
