Christmas

I must say that I'm not normally a huge fan of Christmas, but for the last two years I have invited my family to stay at my house and looked after them. These have been my favorite Christmas times by far. I know it is a cliche but it really is much better to give than to receive. However there was an exception where 'getting' was MUCH better; Chris gave me 'Quilting, Patchwork & Applique - a World Guild' for a Christmas present. I'm absolutely delighted.

I ordered some of the fabric from Quilthome in the US but fabric did not arrive. I queried it with their customer service department who were exceptionally helpful and resent the fabrics. Later they informed that the original order had been returned to them as 'Not Deliverable'. I intend to complain to my local PO as all I can think is that they did not attempt to deliver it. Quilthome have a fabulous fabric selection and obviously I rate them very highly for customer service.

I'm going to make some bags out of the following 6 fabrics. The fabric on the left is the lining and on the right is the outer fabric:

joel1

Joel Dewberry - Manzanita (black)
Tina Givens - Sweet Poppies (red)

joel2

Joel Dewberry - Ginseng Collection (both)

green

Amy Butler (this might not be correct)

Today I started thinking about doing some quilting and I was lucky enough to get some help from a furry friend:
